Automatic and Semi-automatic models are available for speeds up to 6 pails per minute.
Pneumatic closing assures a tight seal and reduces labor costs.
Models are available for pails up to 60 liters/16 gallons.
All standard lug cover closing head sizes are available and they are
interchangeable. Closing heads (with "burpers") are also available for
plastic pails. This permits one machine to close several container
types and sizes.
The RPC roller closer is able to close most plastic pails
with press-on lids.
The RPC is capable of closing a range of pail sizes. This flexibility allows one machine to be used for closing several sizes of pails.
Pails enter the closer with lids placed on top, usually by the operator of the filler. The closer rolls the lids onto the pails. No operator need be present at the machine during operation.
The conveyor travels at approximately 8 meters (25 ft.)/minute and will
accept randomly spaced pails. This allows up to 20 Twenty-Liter (5 gal.) pails
to be closed per minute.
CLM (Manual) and CLP (Pneumatic) crimping tools are available for all standard size lug cover pails. These are suited to applications where a batch produces fewer than 30 pails.
The CLM manual closing tool is used for closing small numbers of lug cover pails.
The CLP pneumatic closing tool is designed to be hung above the work area and the operator closes the lid by pressing two buttons.
Models are available to close the new "UN" standard lids, and the older 28 gauge lids.
If the application requires constant closing on a production line, the CLS or CLA
model closers should be used.
